GCU organizes cultural evening for Balochistan students

Lahore, The students from Bolan Medical College, Balochistan enjoyed a cultural evening at the Government College University Lahore and danced with the GCU students on Punjabi and Balochi songs.

GCU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Khaleeq-ur-Rahman, Parliamentary Secretary for Health MPA Khawaja Salman Rafique and Old Ravians Union Secretary Dr Khalid Manzoor Butt attended the cultural and musical evening organized by the Nazir Ahmad Music Society for the Baloch delegation contained of more than 100 talented students of Bolan Medical College.

GCU students sang Kalam-e-Iqbal for Baloch students, while Baloch students also sang their regional songs and presented traditional Baloch dance which met with a loud applause.

Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Khaleeq-ur-Rahman said that it was their concern to heal the wounds of people of Balochistan by providing them extensive developmental and educational opportunities and resources.
He further said that the Baloch students that are the future of Pakistan and Balochistan by taking measures and work hard they have to ensure peace and development in your province and all over Pakistan.  

The Government College, Lahore was raised to the status of a University in 2002. It was renamed as the GC University Lahore. The academic life has been re-shaped in harmony with its new challenges. The GCU is committed to act as a promoter of quality education for all.
