GCU Lahore starts admission in PhD Program 2013

Lahore, Government College University Lahore has opened admissions in Fulltime PhD Program 2013.

GC University Lahore has started admission to Fulltime PhD Program in t these disciplines: Islamic Studies, Computer Science, Applied Physics at CASP (Center for Advanced Studies in Physics).

Prospectus can be taken at Askari Bank Limited, 6-Chatterjee Road, Faqir Plaza, Urdu Bazar, Lahore on payment of Rs.500/- from. Admission Form can be downloaded from the website www.gcu.edu.pk. In case of downloaded Form, a bank draft of Rs.550/- in favor of "Treasurer, GC University Lahore" shall have to be attached.

The application form with requisite documents must be submitted in the office of the Deputy Registrar (Admissions) till February 28, 2013 during office hours i.e. 08:00 a.m to 04:00 p.m. (Monday to Friday).

The applicant must have MS/MPhil/ Equivalent degree in Islamic Studies with minimum 30 Credit Hours which includes 24 Credit Hours of Course work and 06 Credit Hours of Research work or Thesis from any HEC recognized University, with at least 3.00/4.00 CGPA (in Semester System) or 60% marks (in Annual System). Research work of minimum 06 Credit Hours in MS/MPhil Program is mandatory.

Candidates must have qualified GAT-Subject Test with minimum of 60% marks conducted by NTS or GRE-Subject (a minimum of 60% percentile) conducted by ETS, USA, prior to admission for the PhD Program.

HEC awardees are encouraged to apply. Admission form will not be accepted without these documents: NOC from Employer in case of employee starting that he/she will be on leave during PhD. IN case of Semester System, transcript of MS/MPhil indicating total credit hours and CGPA (obtained/ total).

Candidates appearing in NTS, GAT-Subject organized on February 17, 2013 are also eligible to apply.
