FUMC listed in International Directory of Medical Colleges

Islamabad, The Foundation University Medical College (FUMC) has been counted in the International Directory of Medical Colleges.

The Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research (FAIMER) released in a notification that Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC) has praised the academic standing of FUMC on this worthy achievement.

Foundation University (Islamabad) President Lieutenant-General Muhammad Mustafa Khan appreciated the management, faculty and students of the Foundation University Medical College for their hard work, dedication and commitment to achieve excellence. The president determined to continue the efforts for enhancing the standard of medical education.

In addition to its recognition by the PM&DC, the FUMC is also recognised by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan for FCPS Part-II training. The college is also a member of the International Association of Medical Regulatory Authorities (IAMRA) and is included in the World Directory of Medical Schools (WDMS) by the World Health Organisation (WHO).

The Foundation University Islamabad (FUI) has been established as a private sector university. It is supported by the Fauji Foundation which is the largest welfare organization in the country having vast human and financial resources.

The Foundation University Islamabad (FUI) was settled the Charter by the Federal Government as transmitted by the President of Pakistan and notified in the Gazette of Pakistan. The University has been established as a center of excellence to provide quality education of international standards to the talented students.
