Rawalpindi, Fatima Jinnah Women University, Department of Fine Arts’ students organized Creative Art Exhibition on Wednesday. Students of bachelors and masters program participated in it.
The theme of the display was “Colours of Pakistan”. The basic purpose of conducting this exhibition was to raise the historic culture of Pakistan and to update the new generation aware of the element that we are guardian of rich historic culture.
FJWU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Samina Amin Qadir initiated the exhibition in the Old Library extension. She prized the presentation of new ideas conveyed by students through various means and forms of art. She said that the students have done a great job, as their work is very unique and full of expression.
The exhibition was an attractive combination of art and creativity in different disciplines, including painting techniques, weaving technique, ceramics work, embroidery, tie and die techniques. Students designed different things, like bed sheets, cushion sets, runners, lamps, bags and dresses by using different techniques and materials.
The artwork showed in the exhibition was designed artistically and highlighted the talent and creativity of the students. Art has lots of forms and one explores it in its own way. Objects, thoughts, ideas feelings are the ingredients of art. The demonstration was the product of techniques taught by the instructor Mehmoona, an expression of ideas by the students and the management of the department. The display was highly praised by the audience including students and faculty members.
