Thousands of intermediate students across the country and in affiliated abroad institutions are now preparing to commence their first annual exams starting Thursday, May 14, 2026 .

According to the official schedule issued by the board’s headquarters in Islamabad, the examination process will follow a structured timeline with clear instructions regarding attendance, paper timings, and prohibited items.

Examination Schedule and Timings

The FBISE has divided the examination days into two sessions. Candidates must strictly adhere to the reporting times to avoid any late entry issues.

  • Morning Session: Attendance time is 8:30 AM, with the paper conducted from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM .

  • Evening Session: Attendance time is 2:00 PM, with the paper conducted from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM .

The board has designated Thursday, May 14, 2026 , as the opening day, featuring papers for Chemistry-II and Sociology-II in the morning and evening sessions respectively.

Key Subject Dates for HSSC-I Students

The date sheet covers all major groups, including Pre-Medical, Pre-Engineering, Commerce, Humanities, and Home Economics. Here are some of the critical dates for students:

  • May 15, 2026: Mathematics-I (Morning) and Sociology-I/French-II (Evening).

Important Instructions for Students

The Federal Board has issued strict guidelines to ensure the integrity of the examination process.

  1. Prohibited Items: The board has explicitly warned students that mobile phones, smartwatches, and other similar electronic devices are strictly prohibited inside the examination centers. Possession of such items may lead to severe consequences, including cancellation of the paper.

  2. Timing Compliance: Candidates must arrive at their respective centers according to the attendance time (8:30 AM for morning, 2:00 PM for evening). Latecomers may not be allowed entry.

  3. Abroad Institutions: For students studying in foreign institutions affiliated with FBISE, the board noted that papers will start in accordance with the synchronized time already notified separately. Students abroad should contact their respective institution heads for local timings.
