The federal board of intermediate and secondary education has issued the new policy for SSC and HSSC annual exams 2021. The candidates who intend to appear in the matric and intermediate exams are notified to check the provided policy. The main purpose is to release the burden of the students. As per the new policy, the federal board will split the subjects over two years so that the maximum time can be provided to the students to cover their syllabus. Moreover, the students can also choose the exams to appear in the first and second years. The decision regarding this matter was taken during the meeting of the board of governors. Besides this, some proposals have also been initiated to facilitate the students.

It has been said that the competency-based exams should be conducted at the grade and in such examinations the key subjects should be tested to guide the students about the basic concepts of the subject. The authorities have also decided that students will be now allowed the students to improve the whole subjects or one/two subjects according to their requirements. In this way, unlimited chances will be provided to the students so that their precious time can be saved. The federal board of intermediate and secondary education will conduct the exams in May and September.
Scheme of Studies
Moreover, according to the new policy, the scheme of studies will allow the students to select the unbundling scheme of studies and the students can choose combinations of various subjects for example biology with economics and mathematics, chemistry with environmental sciences. Furthermore, the relative marking will be done that permits flexibility and the baseline of the marking will be set by the lowest and highest scores. The papers will be devised according to the issued curriculum and the rote memorization will be minimized in this way
