FBISE Announces Class 9 and 10 Annual Exams 2026 Date Sheet

The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE), Islamabad, has officially released the Date Sheet for the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) 1st Annual Examination 2026 . The detailed schedule is now available for students enrolled in SSC Part I (Class 9th) and SSC Part II (Class 10th) , bringing clarity and a roadmap for their final preparations.

According to the official notification, issued on February 24th, 2026, by the Controller of Examinations, the rigorous examination session will commence on Tuesday, March 31st, 2026 . The exams are scheduled to be conducted across the country and for abroad institutions in two shifts to accommodate the large number of candidates.

Examination Schedule: Morning and Evening Sessions

FBISE has structured the exams with clear timings for both morning and evening sessions. Candidates are advised to be punctual, as attendance times are strictly enforced.

• Morning Session Attendance: 08:30 AM

• Morning Session Timings: 09:00 AM to 12:00 Noon

• Evening Session Attendance: 02:00 PM

• Evening Session Timings: 02:30 PM to 05:30 PM

The board has emphasized that these timings must be followed meticulously. The date sheet encompasses a wide array of subjects for both Science and Humanities groups, with specific codes mentioned for each paper.

• English (Compulsory) – Paper II: Monday, April 6, 2026

• Urdu (Compulsory) – Paper II: Thursday, April 9, 2026

• Pakistan Studies – Paper II: Saturday, April 11, 2026 (2-1/2 hours duration)

• English (Compulsory) – Paper I: Monday, April 13, 2026

Practical Examinations and Important Instructions

A crucial component of the SSC examinations is the practical assessment. The FBISE date sheet specifies that the Practical Examinations for all subjects will commence from Thursday, May 7th, 2026 . Detailed practical dates for individual subjects will likely be communicated by respective institutions closer to the time.

The board has also included specific dates for Practical-Based Assessment (PBA) for failure and improvement candidates in subjects like Chemistry, Physics, and Computer Science. For instance, Chemistry-I Practical PBA for such candidates is scheduled for April 8, 2026, with a duration of 45 minutes.

Strict Prohibitions and Disciplinary Measures

In line with its policy to maintain the highest standards of academic integrity, FBISE has issued a stern warning regarding the use of technology in examination centers.

"Mobile Phone & Smart Watch etc. are strictly prohibited in the Examination Centre," reads the official notification signed by Fatima Tahira, Controller (Test Administration).

Students found violating this rule will face strict disciplinary action as per the board's regulations. All candidates are urged to ensure they do not bring any such prohibited items to the exam hall.

How to Download the Official Date Sheet

Students are advised to download the complete date sheet from the official FBISE website (www.fbise.edu.pk). The date sheet is also being circulated to all Heads of Institutions concerned, FBISE Sub-offices in Gilgit and Skardu, and is available for viewing on official notice boards.

The announcement was made official by Aasim Bashir , Deputy Controller (T.A.), who has ensured the distribution of the schedule to all relevant departments.
