Educational Institutes Will Remain Closed From March 15th To March 28th, 2021 Due To Covid-19

Covid-19 Situation In Pakistan 

Recently, after taking a brief review on the situation of Covid-19 in Pakistan it was decided that the educational institutes from across the country will be resumed from January or February. The educational institutes were resumed in different phases. In the first phase, schools were resumed, and then colleges and universities were resumed. However, it came to see that in Punjab the number of corona cases is increased whereas in the rest of the provinces the situation is quite normal. So, based on this estimation it is decided that the educational institute in some cities will be closed again. 

Areas Where Spring Break Is Applied 

The following are the nominated cities where the educational institutes will be shut down:  

• Lahore 

• Multan 

• Rawalpindi

• Faisalabad

• Sialkot    

The education minister revealed this period as the summer or spring vacations. From March 28th onward the educational activities will be continued. However, all the public and private schools in the rest of the areas or districts will continue studies under the normal schedules. 

Next Meeting Of Education Ministry 

During the meeting, it was decided that on April 12th, 2021 further meeting will be held in which the examination session of almost all the classes will be discussed. During this meeting, the positive ratio of the COVID cases will also be evaluated and then the further decision will be taken. However, it is discussed that these spring vacations will not affect the examination session at all and new schedules for the examination session will be discussed during the coming meeting.
