The federal education minister, Shafqat Mahmood has asked the students to focus on the studies during vacations. On 23rd November the meeting of the National Command Operation Center was held in which the education ministers of all the provinces participated and decided to close the educational institutes across Pakistan. According to the instructions issued by NCOC, the institutes will remain closed from 26th November to 10th January. Closure of Educational Institutes

In schools, the SOPs were not being followed that result in the rapid transmission of the deadly virus. The report received by the health department raised concerns as there were around 50 million students in the country that can become carriers to spread the virus. So it was essential to close the schools temporarily. The education minister said that decision about the closure of the education institutes was taken with a heavy heart. So it is requested to all the students to revise their courses and do the homework without wasting any time. He directed the students to continue with their studies as much as possible.

Schedule For Online Classes

Initially, the lockdown was enforced in March due to the COVID-19 and the institutes remain closed at least for six months. To cover the syllabus for the examinations the students took online classes so that the time of the students can be saved. Now similarly all the educational institutes will opt the online mode of education to teach the students. All the students will attend the online classes regularly till 24th December as directed by the education minister. Furthermore, the students have to submit the homework by visiting the school once a week.
