Education Minister Announces To Conduct Special O Level Exams From 26th July

The federal minister for education and professional training has announced to conduct the special O level exams from 26th July 2021 and the exams will end on 6th August 2021. In this regard, the NOC has been issued to the British council regarding the commencement of the exams. As per the statement of the education minister, this decision has been taken to facilitate the students so that they can start the A level from September without wasting the academic year. Shafqat Mahmood has also appreciated the efforts of the British council to conduct the exams. It has been ensured to the students that the exams will be conducted with the proper implementation of SOPs and the concerned authorities will monitor all the arrangements in the examination centers. 

Postponement In Exams

Earlier the education minister had announced that all the exams across Pakistan will be held after 15th June 2021 due to the third wave of coronavirus pandemic. The educational institutes have been closed for an extended time period and COVID-19 has created immense difficulties in all the sectors of life. The minister added that the government has been struggling hard to assist the students and take the decision by considering the welfare of the students. 

O Level Exams

The O-level Exams were scheduled to be conducted in the month of May but because of the rapid increase in the number of coronavirus cases the exams got postponed. Afterward, the minister had said that O-level exams will be conducted in October/November series 2021 so that after the exams the candidates can take admission in the universities. Moreover, the education minister has clarified that the promotion will not be granted to the students without appearing on the exams. To save the precious time of the students the exams will be conducted and the revised examination schedule will be issued soon by the respective officials.
