Daanish technical university to be established: CM Punjab

Lahore, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has declared the establishment of Daanish Technical University in Lahore with the cooperation of Middle East Technical University of Turkey.

He was addressing on a meeting to make decisions with regard to the development of the Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) project in the city. He further said that campus of the university would be established at the Arfa Kareem Software Technology Park and quality of education would be delivered to the students in the modern areas of science.

He said that BRT would provide a fast, economical and systemized public transport system to the people and these are designed with the requirements of the 21st century. The work on these buses would continue without any holiday.  He further said that these buses would provide a new identity to Lahore. Modern system of intelligent transport would also be started for running the BRTS.

Minister for Education Mian Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman, Lahore Transport Company Chairman Khawaja Ahmad Hasaan, secretaries of transport and housing departments, district coordination officer and other officers concerned were also present at this occasion.
