Conference on social sciences and humanities begins at NUML

A 2 days international conference on 'Social Sciences and Humanities' arranged by the Faculty of Higher Studies (FHS) begun at the National University of Modern Languages (NUML) yesterday.

 While conversing to the opening session, the Director of NUML General Azam Jamal said that it is the first-ever international conference on Social Sciences and Humanities at NUML and we are really thankful to higher education commission for its support.

 Director of Higher Eduaction Commission Professor Raza Bhatti said that the Higher Education Commission always supports the culture of international sessions in Pakistan. HE also said that the NUML, in association along with HEC, is arranging the first-ever international conference on Social Sciences and Humanities and the HEC actively supports the university in this regard. He praised the role of National University of Modern Languages (NUML) in the promotion of higher studies.

 The Dean of Faculty of Higher Studies at NUML Professor Dr. Shazra Munawar, in her address, welcomed all the guests and give details about the main aims of the conference. She said that the main aims of this conference are to bring together leading academic scientists, researchers as well as the research scholars to exchange as well as to share their experiences and research results regarding all zones of Social Sciences and Humanities.

Another main aim of the conference is to deliver a premier interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary forum to the researchers, practitioners as well as the educators to present and discuss the latest innovations trends and concerns practical challenges encountered and solutions implemented in the field of Social Sciences and Humanities. This conference is also targeted to attract research communities to promote connections among the theory and practice and discover various views on the application of research findings into practice.

Dr. David Waterman of the University of La Rochelle, France, Allama Iqbal Open University Vice Chancellor Dr. Shahid Siddiqui, Dr. Alain Desouliers, CERLOM INALCO (France), Dr. Ali Pedram Mirzaei (Iran), Dr. Muhammad Safeer Awan, Dr. Almuth Degener, Institute of Ideology, Germany, were the main presenters on the first day of that international conference.
