Teachers who hold a BS degree are expected to finally receive promotions in Punjab as they have been added to the new promotion policy which is now being considered by the Cabinet Committee.
For years, BS degree holders had been kept from getting promotions they deserved since their names were already on seniority lists. A lot of employees have waited eight years or more for a promotion.
Because they were neglected by former promotion situations, there was great frustration among educators who deserved a chance. Formal approval of the new policy will mean these teachers will not be ignored anymore.
It should make sure that people who studied for four years and ended up unable to find work in their area can receive the career advancement they are owed.
The officials argue that this is meant to ensure that BS degree holders are treated the same as any other degree in education. Teachers think this measure is long past due and will improve morale and equity in the way teachers are promoted.
