Boys outshine in BSEK Matric Part-2 Result 2012

Karachi, The Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) on Monday announced the results of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) part-II science group annual examination-2012.

The results of classes IX and X (Science Group) for deaf candidates were also announced at a ceremony arranged by the BSEK at its office in North Nazimabad.

The top positions among regular candidates were taken by both the girls and boys. The first position was grabbed by Muhammad Kashif of Eden Public School and the second position was takeb by Mairaj Khalid of F.F. Public School and Sana Khan of the Karachi Public School. The third position was bagged by Mehjabeen Qasim of the Shaheen Public School.

According to Controller Examination Rafia Mallah, 128,361 candidates took up Class-X (Science Group) exams and 90,996 have been declared passed with the passing percentage of 70.89%.

Among the deaf candidates, all the three positions were taken by the students of Dewa Academy for the Deaf. Batool Ashfaq grabbed first position, while second position was bagged by Hira Siddiqui. The third position was takeb by Yusra Tanveer and Syed Bilal Asif.

According to a breakup, 14,300 candidates secured the ‘A-1’ grade, 23,967 the ‘A’ grade, 26,429 the ‘B’ grade, 19,443 the ‘C’ grade, 6,460 candidates the ‘D’ grade and 93 candidates passed the exam in the ‘E’ grade.

A BSEK announcement said that the marks sheets would be ready within the next 20 days. It said that the marks statements of the regular candidates would be given to the authorised representatives of their respective institutions while marks statements of private candidates would be dispatched to their given addresses.

The students who stood proud on the stage said that they had studied for up to eight hours a day.

BISE Karachi  (Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Karachi) was established as separate entity in 1974 through the "Sindh Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education. This Board has the power to organize, regulate, develop and control Intermediate Education within its jurisdiction. BSE conducts Matric examinations for Karachi.
