Peshawar: The Educational Testing and Evaluation Agency (ETEA) on Monday announced the result of entrance test for admission to medical and dental colleges in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK). According to the announced result three top positions were clinched by boys.

Saleh Hassan, roll number 17591 of Abbottabad board secured first position in the test by obtaining 694 out of the total 800 marks. He was followed by Hassan Tahir, roll number 15215, of the same board having 684 marks, whereas Bakhtiar Ahmad, roll number 6488, of BISE Peshawar board scored 681 and clinched third position.

Total 27,573 candidates including 16,791 boys and 10,782 girls appeared in the medical entrance test organized in five centres crosswise the province on Sunday.

Among them almost 75 students could get above 600 marks. A total of 775 students got marks between 500-599, about 1915 student scored between 400-499 while 3033 obtained marks between 300-399.

The final results were displayed on the official website of Khyber Medical University (www.kmu.edu.pk) as well as on official website of ETEA (www.etea.edu.pk). The aspirants who were appeared in the test were also sent the results via SMS on their mobile.  Approximately 2000 aspirants will be admitted to the government and private sector medical and dental colleges in the province. The number of seats in the government sector colleges is almost 1250.
