Lahore: A bomb exploded during a protest outside the Punjab Assembly on Mall Road (Lahore), a private new channel reported on Monday.
Large number of people was injured by the powerful blast, said media.
The injured were taken to Mayo Hospital and Ganga Ram Hospital.
Rescue services along with fire tenders have been sent to the blast site and the area has been cordoned off.
The large group of chemists & pharma manufacturers was protesting in front of the Punjab Assembly when a nearby vehicle blasted.
There was a major presence of law enforcers in the area because of the protest.
The Mall Road is a main road in Lahore and several government buildings are located there.
