Multan board was came into being in 1968 and Punjab government is handling all the educational mattes of Multan region. Initially Quetta, Kallat, Bahawalpur and Dera Ghazi Khan regions were under the jurisdiction of Multan but later on the Bahawalpur and Dera Ghazi Khan board got its own recognition and got their own name. Multan Board is supervised by the Ministry of Education and functioning to deliver educational facilities to all the students living in the areas. Private and regular students every year appear in the matric and inter exams. The board generally holds the matric annual exams in March and announces the results in August or September and then after few weeks it organizes the matric supply exams.
