BISE Lahore facing IT crisis again; matric exams 2012 could be delayed

Lahore, Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE Lahore) is facing shortage of computer data operators in data entry section. This deficiency can cause the matric annual examination to be postponed.

27 seats are still vacant out of total 48 seats in data entry section. Shortage of data operators in BISE Lahore has resulted in the non-registration of up to 400, 000 students. This downfall has caused the possibilities of matric annual exams to be postponed which were scheduled to be start on March 3, 2012.

BISE Lahore is a main stream of education where millions of students appear in the examination. This year, matric examinations are scheduled on March 3, 2012 while the examination preparations are still pending.

According to the information, at present time, 27 seats are vacant out of total 48 seats in data entry section. While on the other side 21 present candidates are unaware of using new computer technology and are working their duties as typical clerical staff.

Interview session has been completed for the vacant seats but their appointments have not been made yet. More than 400, 000 admissions, registrations, data entrance, scanning, central alignment, practical lab allotments, proof reading, printing and many other process are pending.

According to the board resources, urgent appointments for data entry operators are needed otherwise the matric examination can go to delay.
