BISE Gujranwala declares new grades

Gujranwala, The Gujranwala Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education has declared new grades for Secondary School Certification SSC. According to new criteria minimum pass marks have been raised from 33 percent to 40 percent.

According to notification, A+ grade will be awarded to candidates having 90% plus marks. A grade will be contained 80 percent to 89 percent marks, B grade will be from 70 percent to 79 percent marks, C grade will be of 60 to 69 percent marks, D grade will be of 50 to 59 percent marks, E grade will be of 40 to 49 percent marks and F grade will be of below 40 percent marks.

However, educationists have named new policy against ground realities especially change in minimum pass marks. These groups have said that abrupt change of Urdu medium to English medium could not still accept its results and in such conditions minimum 40% pass marks would increase difficulties to average students. They demanded extraction of new policy.
