The Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education (BISE) Gujranwala was came into being in 1976 which is working under the Ministry of Education Government of the Punjab. The board is responsible to organize the examinations its affiliated institutions and the districts which comes under its control are Gujranwala, Mandi Baha-ud-Din, Gujrat, Sialkot, Hafizabad, and Narowal. The main function of the board is to conduct, arrange and develop the intermediate and matriculation examinations. It also arranges the examinations for national objectives and matriculation and intermediate students.
The board is also with this responsibility that all the exams should be conducted in a transparent, unbiased and in a fair way so that all the students can access the fair examination facilities. Total nine boards are functioning in the Punjab province and Gujranwala board is one of the major board among them which organizes Matric and Inter examinations each year. To maintain all the canons of education and such other accomplishments are assumed to be the responsibility of Gujranwala board.
