Karachi: Secondary School Certificate annual exams 2016 of Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Karachi commenced in an efficient way on Monday. It was stated by the chairperson of BIEK Anwar Ahmed Zia.
According to the chairperson 340,000 candidates will appear at 382 examination centres in the metropolis. These exams will continue till 20th April 2016. He moreover said that the papers started and will finish according to the schedule time.
The board has formed almost 103 vigilance teams comprising of 40 officers of the local administration, he added. He said that he visited the 5 examination centres in District Central and Malir and the arrangements of these examination centres were satisfactory.
Section 144 has been imposed round about the premises of the examination centres in the city. However, sources said there was a need to increase the security arrangements at the centres.
