Karachi, Results of Higher Secondary School Certificate, Part-I, Home Economics, 2010, were announced on Tuesday by Controller Examinations Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) Professor Agha Akber Mirza.
According to the gazette issued by the board, as many as 125 candidates were declared pass in the examinations out of 299 candidates who had registered for the examination and 268 students who had appeared in it.

As many as 47 candidates passed six papers, 33 candidates cleared five papers and 19 students were declared pass in four papers. Meanwhile, 12 candidates managed to pass three papers and 12 were declared pass in two papers, whereas 13 candidates could pass only one paper. According to the gazette, last year 385 candidates were registered and 353 students appeared in the examinations, while 154 candidates successfully passed their exams.

Mirza said that the students would get their marks cards from their respective colleges after a period of two weeks. The scrutiny of answer book(s) could be done on payment of prescribed fee along with an application within 40 days of the declaration of the result, he added.

The BIEK also announced the result of Diploma in Physical Education, annual examinations, 2010. According to the result, as many as 21 candidates had registered for the examination, while 20 students appeared and nine candidates were declared pass.

Mirza further said that the passing percentage was 45 per cent. Not a single candidate managed 'A-1' grade, whereas one student received 'A' grade in the exams. As per the gazette, three candidates attained 'B' grades, and five of them were declared pass with 'C' grades.
