Karachi, The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi on Thursday declared the results of higher secondary school certificate Home Economics Part-I and Medical Technology Part-II annual examination 2012.
As many as 351 Home Economics candidates appeared in the exam out of which 208 passed all the seven papers and 60 passed six papers, 24 five papers, 21 four papers, 17 three papers, nine two papers and 10 passed one paper.
In Medical Technology, total 26 candidates appeared out of which 13 passed the exam, none of whom made to the A-1 or A grade as two passed in B grade, eight in C and three in D grade.
An announcement said that the candidates will get their marks sheets after two weeks.
BISE Karachi (Board of Intermediate Education Karachi) was established as separate entity in 1974 through the Sindh Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education. This Board has the power to organize, regulate, develop and control Intermediate Education within its jurisdiction. BIEK Karachi conducts inter examinations for Karachi.
Board of Intermediate Education Karachi conducts its inter exams mostly in May every year. BIEK usually declares the inter results in the end of August or start of September 2012.

The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi is not only an examining body but is also responsible for maintaining and controlling the standard of education and other activities, which certify physical, moral and spiritual development of the college students.
The Board has the power to organize, regulate, develop and control Intermediate Education. The controlling Authority of the Board is the Governor of Sindh or his applicant. The Chairman is the principal administrative and academic officer of the Board, while the Secretary has responsibility of the academic and administrative Sector and the Controller of Examinations is the in charge of the Examination Section.
The mentioned officers and the Audit officer are appointed by the Controlling Authority of the Board, while other officers are also appointed by the Board on the recommendation of the appointment Committee. In the year, 1974, there were only 17 officers and 113 officials, now we have 51 officers and 246 officials.
