Quetta: Chief Minister of Balochistan, Nawab Sanaullah Zehri recently presented a provincial budget of more than 289 billion rupees for the financial year 2016-17.

In that budget, Zehri announced a 10 % increase in the salaries as well as in the pensions of provincial government employees on the pattern of federal government. Before Zehri, Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar in his budget speech had also announced ten percent increase in the salaries of federal government employees.

The Chief Minister during his address furthermore said that the brilliant students will be provided laptops and for this purpose fifty million rupees had been apportioned in the budget.
