The government of Punjab has rejected the summary of regularization of educators. The cabinet committee has recommended referring the issue to the Public Service Commission.
Education Minister Requested To Make 50,000 Teachers Permanent
As per the sources, a summary was sent by the education department requesting to made 50,000 contracts based educators across Punjab permanent, which was reviewed in detail in the cabinet committee meeting.
Summary Of Regularization Teachers Rejected by Punjab Government
Muhammad Basharat recommends taking the matter of educators before the Public Service Commission. The Punjab Cabinet Committee rejected the summary of regularization of 50,000 educators and directed to send it to the Public Service Commission.
School Education Department Decides To Change Recruitment Policy
On the other hand, the School Education Department has decided to change the policy regarding the recruitment of teachers. There are 70,000 vacancies available for the teachers in government sector schools across Punjab. As per the new policy, the new teachers will be hired just on the basis of one to two year contracts. The contracts of teachers will not be extended due to the poor performance.
