The aspirants from Sindh Madressatul Islam University (SMTI) yesterday (Monday) visited Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU), Islamabad under national leadership program as well as familiar themselves along with the working of this large educational institute.
The vice chancellor of Allama Iqbal Open University Prof. Dr. Shahid Siddiqui told the aspirants regarding his vision as well as strategies to develop AIOU as a first-class international University, offering the education under distance learning system (DLS). VC told delegation that Allama Iqbal Open University registered a large number of aspirants in its autumn, 2015 admissions which was result of some far-reaching academic as well as the administrative steps taken during the last one year. The admissions were all-time high in nearly all the academic programs that also imitated the trust as well as the confidence, the University enjoys between the aspirants of all age groups.
Approximately fifty aspirants led by their VC Dr. Muhammad Ali Sheikh accompanied by some Faculty members were taken round about the different departments of the university comprising of FM Radio, Central library as well as Press and Publication.
The Vice Chancellor of Sindh Madressatul Islam University said that they had started their 10-day leadership journey from Allama Iqbal Open University and got highly impressed to watch this institution fast growing under the supervision of Dr. Shahid Siddiqui.
He said Sindh Madressatul Islam University is known as the kindergarten of leadership as devotees such as Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Sir Abdul Haroon and Sir Shahnawaz Bhutto were among its aspirants.
Dr. Shahid Siddiqui directed the aspirants that they should adopt a transparent and well-though strategy plans to make their journey of change towards the successful as well as better future.
