APS Attack December 16th, 2014, A Black Day For Whole Nation

Every year the beginning of December tears our hearts into pieces and it has been happening since December 2014 when the cruelty overwhelmed on humanity. On December 16^th, 2014 a massacre had done when on the Army Public School, 06 gunmen conducted a terrorist attack. Army Public School is situated in Peshawar, northwestern Pakistani city. All the terrorists were affiliated with Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and all of them were foreigners including 03 Arabs, 02 Afghani, and 01 Chechen.

What Happened During this Attack   

The terrorists on the morning of December 16^th, 2019 entered into the Army public school and opened fire on the children (students) and school staff (teachers). This brutality became the reason for the death of 149 people in which 132 were school children and the rest of the victims were included in school staff. The schoolchildren who sent to death were ranging between the age of eight and eighteen and this attack was recorded as the fourth biggest deadliest school massacre of the world.    

However, soon in return of this brutality the Pakistan Army launched a rescue operation by Special Service Group SSG, Special Forces. During this rescue operation, all the six terrorists were killed 960 people were rescued.  

Reason Behind This Attack

There may be a large number of reasons behind this attack including political reasons. But when we see the fact that the external powers conducted a terrorist attack on a school or on the schoolchildren, it indicates that it was an attempt by them to stop the attention of the people towards education and to make the nation scared and weak.

The Effects of This Attack On Education

Where the attack affected the lives of the people especially the parents of the victims, at the same time, this brutality also affected the whole of the nation or country. Schools, colleges, and universities remained closed for at least 01 month. Moreover, study schedule and educational life had also disturbed. Students appeared for examination after announcing the new schedules. The whole of the nation was scared because of this cruelty.

Parents were afraid to send their kids to school, colleges, and universities. It was considered a threat to all educational institutes.

Conclusion

No doubt, it was a sorrowful incident at that time that tore the hearts of everyone into pieces. However, the restoration of education came to see again but we are still under threat. The reasons behind it are that we are still living with lack of potential security, proper planning against brutality happening around us. We cannot cope up with the world until we unite together as one true nation who cares more about human life then useless dilemmas of life.

However, we always pray for the victims and their families. May Almighty Allah rest the souls of those innocent children in peace and offer a condolence to their families. We also pray to Almighty Allah to keep our nation safe from such evils in future.
