GCU Criteria for Inter Admissions:

• Candidates must have completed matric/ O level or any other equivalent qualification from an HEC recognized school or institute. 
• Result awaiting matric/ O level students can also apply for the GCU inter admissions 2023.
• For all candidates whether they are applying on regular or self-supporting basis or applying for a quota reserved seats, GCU Pre-admission Entry Test and interview is mandatory.
• O level candidates must have cleared O level with total eight subjects, five of which are required to be: English, Urdu, Pakistani Studies, Islamiat, and mathematics.
• GCU Pre-admission Entry Test will be conducted from all candidates except from some special case students.
• After clearing the entry test successful candidates will be called out for the interview by their respective faculty. 
• There will be no retake of GCU entry test under any circumstances.
• All students must score minimum 50% marks in GCU Pre-admission Entry Test to qualify for the interview.
• At least 50% marks are required to pass the GCU interview and to appear in the final merit list.
• Self-supporting candidates cannot apply for any reserved quota seats.

GCU Pre-admission Entry Test

GCU Pre-admission Entry Test is mandatory for every candidate applying for the GCU intermediate admissions. Total five questions will be asked from the candidates in their GCU entry test, the questions can be further divided into parts and all questions will be relevant to the candidate’s chosen programs. Total 2 hours will be given to all candidates to attempt the test. Total marks of the test will be 40 out of which candidates have to score at least 20 to stand eligible for the interview. The following is the table of entry test subjects and their marks distribution:

GCU Entry Test Merit Aggregate:

The Merit Aggregate for GCU inter admissions will consist of the following marks weightage:

• Weightage of Entry Test Marks                  = 40%   
• Weightage of Matric/ O level Marks           = 50%   
• Weightage of Interview Marks                    = 10%   

GCU Application Process:

• Candidates can submit their applications online by visiting the official website of GCU.
• Open the admissions section and sign up an admission portal account by providing your email address.
• Then you will receive a confirmation email along with the activation link, through that link you can successfully activate your GCU admission portal account.
• Provide your biographical details and add your academic information (qualifications).
• Choose the program you want to apply for.
• Generate the application processing fee challan after that.
• Pay the application processing fee of Rs. 2000/- at any United Bank Ltd (UBL) branch before the admission deadline (29th May 2023). The application processing fee will be non-refundable.
• All candidates must submit application processing fee separately for each group and category.

GCU Admission Important Instructions:

• Application processing fee paid through UBL app or Omni or mobile wallet app will not be acceptable.
• All candidates must apply online, there is no need to send application through courier/ post.
• A separate admission form must be submitted for each program.
• Separate application fee shall be charged from the self-supporting candidates.
• Disabled, O level, candidates applying under sports, extra co-curricular activities and nominees of other provinces are exempted from taking the GCU entry test.
• Total quota for disabled and minorities is 2%
• Financial assistance is also available for deserving candidates.
• The schedule of the GCU Entrance Test, Interviews, sports and co-curricular activities will be informed through student's admission portal/account or through university’s website. No separate Email/ SMS will be sent to each candidate.
