All selection committee suspended by CM for showing negligence in recruitment process

Lahore: Showing anger over neglecting an orphan girl from Bhakkar in spite of her merit for the educator slot, Chief Minister of Punjab Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif on Wednesday suspended all the selection committee members and made the former DCO an OSD.

The female candidate for the educator seat Mudassrah Parveen called on the CM of Punjab on Wednesday and narrated the facts.

Shahbaz Sharif expressed anger over selection committee for the enlistment of educators for not interviewing Mudassrah Parveen even though she had qualified the written test.

The CM issued the orders to make the earlier DCO Bhakkar an OSD and suspend all members of the selection committee also including the EDO education.

Furthermore, the CM of Punjab also announced financial aid of Rs1 million for the girl, and said that the Punjab government will provide every possible assistance to Mudassrah as well as her sisters.

He further added that recruitment procedure of educators should be scrutinized and the inspection should be started after adopting comprehensive mechanism.

He said Mudassrah as well as the other candidates should be interviewed again and hiring be done completely on merit. He said new selection committee should be founded to conduct interviews again.

Shehbaz Sharif said that there is no justification of giving less marks to Mudassrah plus it is very regrettable that the girl was called for interview and she was not interviewed and by that the selection committee disrupted the merit.

The attitude of the former DCO Bhakkar was not fair, he added. The girl will be provided justice. Those who violated rules as well as merit do not deserve to hold their offices, said CM.

Mudassrah told the CM that her parents have died, she has three sisters and no brother and she lives along with her uncle.

She said in spite of call she was not interviewed.
