Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU), Islamabad will hold a 2-day International conference next week on research as well as practices in education.

Approximately 700 national as well as international academicians and the researchers are expected to attend this event which is highly substantial to understand the latest trends in education. The senior academicians Dr. Lynn Fendler from Michigan State University (United States) as well as Dr. Jean B. Hache, honorary professor University De Montreal, Canada will be the main speakers in the event.

The conference being planned by the Faculty of Education will cover the extensive-ranging subjects concerning to the formal, non-formal as well as special education from secondary level to igher education level.

Vice Chancellor of Allama Iqbal Open University, Dr Shahid Siddiqui, said that the main objective of the conference is to provide researchers as well as the practitioners a platform to present their latest work and to interact along with the fellows in the international community of practice.

It would also assist in highlighting the new techniques as well as the modes of research round about the world and to identify the methods of connecting the learners and the instructors via internet plus construct a safer environment of universal education.

Dr. Shahid Siddiqui expected that the conference will assist to foresee what the future of education in the coming eras. It is part of continuing effort to boost research-based academic activities as well as develop the character of university like a pioneering and creative institute.
