Lahore, Punjab University has started admissions in postgraduate diploma program for session 2013-14. Applications are invited for admission to the mentioned postgraduate programs including Diploma in Taxation Laws, Diploma in Intellectual Property Laws, Diploma in Labour Laws, Diploma in Environmental Laws, Diploma in International Trade (WTO) Laws, Diploma in Banking Laws and Diploma in Corporate Laws and Practice.

Applicants who have passed LLB Part 1 and 2 may also be considered for admission after accommodating the applicants having LLB, Master in Commerce, Finance or Graduate Govt officer with two years relevant experience but subject to availability of seats. The classes of all diplomas will be held in evening two days a week. The prescribed admission forms along with prospectus will be available from college office for RS 300. Last date for submission of applications complete in all respect will be Nov 22 during office hours.

Meanwhile, PU has also opened admissions in spoken English courses and last date to apply is Nov 19, 2013. The program can accommodate 90 students only. Admission will be granted on first come first serve basis. Duration of course is three months and admission fee is Rs 7500.

The University of the Punjab was established in 1882 which is the largest and the oldest seat of higher learning in Pakistan. This was the first university established in the sub-continent in Muslim majority area. Two eminent laureates are from this University showed great significance for its academic and research excellence.
