A Protest against Humans Rights Violation in Kashmir Held by COMSATS University

COMSATS University Staff held a protest on Friday in the wave of current chaos and appalling human rights violation by Indian Army in Kashmir. During the protest the national anthem of Pakistan and Azad Kashmir were played. Almost 300 staff members of COMSATS University joined the protest. The protest was held at the Islamabad campus of COMSATS University. Prof. Dr. Raheel Qamar Rector COMSATS University was leading the protest.

Protests Were Organized on Call of PM Imran Khan

COMSATS University staff gathered together to show solidarity with Kashmiris in their tough time and recorded their protests against the violations of human rights so widely executed. The staff of COMSATS University held this protests on call of Prime Minister Imran Khan who addressed with the nation and urged the populace to stand with Kashmiris and expose brutality of Indian Army. This protest was held with endorsement of Higher Education Commission.

Indian Army Have been Imposing Oppression on Kashmiris for Decades: Protesting COMSATS Staff

The participants of protests were holding placards and banners on which remarks against Indian Army were written. The protestors condemned Indian Army’s cruelty, atrocities and massive genocide. Prof A Shahid Khan addressed the protestors and discussed the history of Indian Army and Hindu Regimes against innocent Muslims of Kashmir on going for decades. He said that extremist Hindus are repressing due rights of Kashmiri Muslims and the oppression has been continued despite international media coverage.

Prof A Shahid Khan of COMSATS University Endorsed Two Nation Theory

The professor continued to say that the concept of two nation theory is even true after 70 years and it is apparent through Kashmir. He said our founding members exposed the fascist Hindu regime then but it is still there. Disturbing images of bloodshed, curfew at markets and roads, crack down by Indian Army has caused thousands of Kashmiri students to be house bound. They are not attending schools and daily life is deeply impacted.
