80 students graduated from Shaheed Benzair Bhutto University

Nawabshah: Almost 80 students were granted degrees in various disciplines whereas Maheen Ali was awarded with a gold medal on her brilliant performance during academic year at the Shaheed Benazi Bhutto University’s convocation.

Chairperson of Pakistan Higher Education Commission Prof Dr Mukhtar Ahmed and Member National Assembly (MNA) Dr Azra Fazal Pechohu were chief guests of the event.

While addressing on the event, HEC chairperson, said that under the Prime Minister Programme, every district and city would get best education in 2018. Scholarship programme of almost Rs 100,000 has been allotted for talented graduate students by federal government, he said.

He moreover said that the aspirants are being provided along with scholarships for research work, latest education and for PhD as well.

HEC head furthermore said that Pakistan government and HEC are working mutually for bringing developments in three zones entitled as water, energy and food security.

In this respect, he said that number of programmes have begun relating to water issues whereas various universities in association along with other countries are working on energy zone.

He added, under the food security programme, all agricultural universities of Pakistan are holding research work to keep fruits as well as vegetables fresh that are arriving from various parts of the state.

During her address, Dr Azra said that education is playing an impressive role in the development of society, nation as well as in the development of country. She said that PPP established Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University to convey better education to our children.

The graduating aspirants will brighten up the name of our country in the world, she added. She also said that there is no shortage of exceptional talents in the country and our young generation have proved it by winning a lot of world titles.

A large network of universities is being spread in the whole province in order to deliver best education facilities to our youngsters, she added.
