5th & 8th class annual exams registration 2013 till Oct 10

Lahore, Punjab Examination Commission has declared that October 10, 2012 is the last date for private students and schools for the Registration of Annual Examination 2013 of 5th and 8th Grade.

Punjab examination commission (PEC) is an authoritative body responsible for conducting 5th and 8th class examinations. PEC is set up by the Government of Punjab for conducting examinations for 5th and 8th grade in the Punjab province. It conducts exams for assessment of students by their schools and respective boards.

Punjab examination commission (PEC) started working in 2005. It is working for improving examination system of elementary education. PEC develops tests for the districts and administrators score the results and prepare the results for both public and private sectors.

To appear in the PEC examination of grade 5 and 8 only the registration is required. No admission form is required later on after the registration. On the basis of registration all students from Government schools, private schools and private candidates are issued roll numbers to appear in the examination.

Registration for 5th and 8th class examinations 2012 has been started. Punjab Examination Commission issues roll numbers and sends to the districts for verification. After verification and changes made by the districts PEC issues final Roll Number Slips to each district and they further delivered to schools and private candidates.

PEC usually announces date sheet one month before the commencement of exams. Date sheet for 5th and 8th class is supposed to be announced in the month of January 2013.

 Registration form can be downloaded from www.pec.edu.pk. PEC does not register any student in any case. Registration is done only by district education departments.

PEC make reposts which serve teachers, teacher educators and researcher for improving students learning level at elementary level. The commission consists of 18 members out of which 3 MPAs, 2 educationists and two persons from private schools are nominated by the Government.
