Lahore: The government of Punjab has announced rewarding 500 schoolteachers as well as district executive officers (DEOs) of the School Education Department for their brilliant performance in the annual exams of (BISEs) during the academic session 2016-2017.
The School Education Department (SED) and Chief Minister’s Roadmap Ranking had made a list of 500 school teachers and ten chief executive officers of district education authorities across the province on their performance in annual exams.

The Chief Minister’s Roadmap Ranking had set up a selection committee which set down the list of teachers, principals as well as chief executive officers.
The government of Punjab has also issued a notification and sent it to all the districts.
The government has decided to distribute these awards among the teachers as well as chief executive officers in a ceremony on the World Teachers’ Day at Aiwan-i-Iqbal on October 5th, 2017.

The star officers awards are based on the general performance of the district and it would be presented to the chief executive officer (CEO) of the district education authority. This star award would be given to top 10 districts which performed remarkable in the academic session 2016-2017.
As per the issued list, Okara stood 1st, Jang stood 2nd, Pakpattan stood 3rd, Muzaffargarh stood 4th, Chiniot stood 5th, Kasur stood 6th, Vehari stood 7th, Hafizabad stood 8th, Chakwal stood 9th while Rajanpur stood 10th.
School Education Secretary Dr Allah Bakhsh told the media sources that the reward comprised of certificates and a cash prize of Rs 10,000 to all 500 school teachers and also some of the administrators. He further added that the cash prize will be increase in future.
