Virtual University Admissions 2025

Virtual University of Pakistan (VU) advertises admission in Spring (January/March) and Fall (August/September) each year. Admission Spring 2025 was advertised on January 15th, 2025, and application deadlines are different for the type of programs. For merit programs like BS Bioinformatics, BS Biotechnology, and BS Zoology, the date of submission of applications was March 7th, 2025, and payment of processing fees could be made until March 10th, 2025. For the rest of the merit programs the date of submission of applications was March 26th, 2025, and payment of processing fees made until March 29th, 2025. Classes began on April 7th, 2025. The University does not, and cannot, assure against modifying the schedule of admissions. 

Admission Process

The Virtual University has announced the spring admission 2025 from January 15th, 2025 to March 28th, 2025. The last date to deposit admission processing fee is March 29th, 2025. The commencement of classes for Spring 2025 will be from April 7th 2025. The orientation for newly admit students will conduct on April 8th, 2025.

Eligibility Criteria

For undergraduate courses, applicants should generally have 12 years of education (Intermediate or equivalent) with a minimum of 45% marks. For MS courses, 16 years of education in the concerned field with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 are needed. There can be some specific courses with special requirements such as entry tests or interviews. Candidates with marks between 33%–44% can be considered for admission provided they pass a "Zero Semester," barring some courses such as BS English and Islamic Studies.
