UMT Lahore is a project of the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) Trust, established in 1990. University of Management and Technology is famous because of its quality of education and highly qualified professors. UMT offers admission twice a year. Candidates can test their luck by applying in spring as well as in fall admissions. UMT Admissions for 2025 are open now. Students can apply online through the student portal and can offline by downloading the admission form as well. The UMT Fall Admission 2025 will open from June, 2025.

Admission Criteria:

There are specific requirements for undergraduate, graduate, and PhD level eligibility for admission into UMT programs. Sample entrance tests can be found on the OIA website. All admissions will be merit-based and guided by the University and program guidelines, which may include other requirements after merit is assessed. For undergraduate programs, merit is calculated against specified metrics:

20% of Marks obtained in Matric
30% of Marks obtained in the Entrance Test
50% of Marks obtained in Intermediate
Interview if required

The merit list of undergraduate program will be finalized on the basis of following:

Passing of entry Test with Minimum 33% marks from Designated Entity / Testing Agency is mandatory
50% of Marks obtained in Intermediate
33% of Marks obtained in the Entrance Test
17% of Marks obtained in Matric

ICS students with Physics, Mathematics, and Computer Studies backgrounds are also eligible for admission to Engineering programs.

For undergraduate (LLB program), the merit list will be finalized on the basis of the following:

Undergraduate/BS Admissions in UMT:

UMT is offering four-year undergraduate admissions 2025 in an extended range of disciplines. These BS degree programs 2025 focus on the holistic development of learners. UMT is counted among the top universities of the region for its BS degree programs. BS Admissions in UMT for 2025 are open now.

Postgraduate/MB Admissions in UMT:

UMT is offering two-year postgraduate/MS degree programs in 2025 in a diverse range of disciplines. These courses are well-articulated and integrate both theory and practice. These graduate degree programs 2025 will allow students to gain the best knowledge in their relevant disciplines, Graduate program admissions for 2025 are open now.

PhD Admissions in UMT:

PhD admissions for 2025 are now open at UMT. UMT is offering doctoral degree programs in 2025 with specializations in a vast range of subjects. University of Management and Technology is offering three to four years long full-time study PhD program.

Admissions Last Dates 2025:

The Undergraduate UMT admissions last date 2025 has not been declared yet. However, the admissions last date usually lies between June and August.
The Postgraduate Admissions in UMT 2025 is scheduled after the undergraduate results. Students will be able to get updates through UMT’s official website.
The PhD admissions at The University of UMT 2025 have not started yet. The university will announce the admissions through their official website.

How to Apply to UMT Admissions:

Apply online at the UMT admissions portal by official site.
Complete the application process, guidelines for filling out the form are given at each step.
After filling out all fields carefully, click on the save & proceed button given at the bottom of each page. (You can save your information in the portal and can use it again when you finally want to submit the application)
An application processing fee of Rs. 1500/- is mandatory, which can be paid physically (in the form of challan at the bank) and also through the online HBL banking system.
After submitting the fee, upload the scanned copy of the paid receipt and submit the application.

UMT Admission Process:

UMT’s admission process is very easy. You can apply online to the UMT admission 2025, Form will be available online on UMT’s website, in which the student will have to create a student portal and proceed to provide the information and submit the required documents. You can further read UMT’s admission criteria on UMT’s website. You will get notified through e-mail if your application gets accepted. All applications are evaluated on the basis of merit as determined by the candidate’s previous academic record and performance in the Entry Test.

UMT Admission Entry Test:

All candidates are required to sit for an entrance exam for admission. The exam covers FSc-level Mathematics and English for undergraduate programs and different syllabus for postgraduate and PhD programs. The UMT Entry Test Date 2025 will be declared soon. The UMT admission entry test pattern, syllabus, date sheet and results will be available on their official website.

How Students Are Accepted and Evaluated:

Applicants to UMT are chosen through merit and the process is different for each program. For undergraduate merit, 20% of your mark comes from Matric, 30% from the entrance test and 50% from Intermediate. When applying for engineering, your test scores and Matric outcome are given extra importance. If you have a background that connects to ICS, you are eligible too. Students aspiring to study Law at the LLB level must write the Law Admission Test (LAT), unlike those after graduate-level and PhD programs, who are judged on their UGAT/GAT scores, academic background and interview.
