Sharif College of Engineering and Technology (SCET) Lahore is a self supporting institute with a mission to provide quality education at an affordable price. The fee rate for the programs such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, and Chemical Engineering is reasonable and acceptable. The fees are kept inexpensive for local students as well as expatriates with reasonable quotas for students in various categories. It must be noted that although the fee system is well planned, it will occasionally be amended. Students intending to enroll should visit the college website or approach the administration for details about fees from time to time.
Programs Fee Structure
SCET's fee structure is program and year stratified as well. For instance, Electrical Engineering tuition comprises Year 1-PKR 120,000 a year fee and Year 4-PKR 206,000 a year fee. Computer Sciences possessed the lesser fee in the form of yearly fee ranging from PKR 84,000 during Year 1 to PKR 124,000 during Year 4. Admissions charge of PKR 20,000, which is not refundable, and refundable security deposit of PKR 10,000 for both programs do exist too. For foreign students, foreign fees are USD 2,000 yearly for Electrical Engineering and USD 1,050 yearly for Computer Sciences.
Scholarship & Financial Assistance
SCET has a scholarship program providing merit scholarships to qualified A-level and Intermediate students, or students demonstrating improved performance throughout their respective programs. Students achieving 85% and above in their Intermediate exams will get a 25% fee deduction, students achieving 80% and students achieving 75% will get a 15% fee deduction to a maximum fee level, and 10% fee deduction to a maximum fee level., As well, students achieving two A's in A-levels commence their scholarship automatically with a 15% fee deduction for entry into year Three of the program and students achieving three A's in A-levels automatically commence with the maximum fee deduction of 20% in year Three of the program upon commencement. The college has funding available for need based scholarships representing some level of affordable education for students on a merit based supported means tested basis. The college has an open door policy in terms of accessibility to the admission department for students seeking information on how to apply for scholarships.
