FAST National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences Islamabad Admissions


Although Fast has two academic semesters. But the admissions are opened once a year only.

The Admission for BA/BS , MBA/MS and PhD open during the summers. The submission date of application form is in the first week of July. And admission tests are scheduled in the second week of July.

After the entrance test, candidates who passes the test are selected. The list of eligible candidates is posted on the website. However an interview is also conducted to further short list the selected candidates. The admission formalities are completed by the first week of August and the classes commence from the mid of August.

Here is the general eligibility criteria for undergraduate programs. For more information please visit the official website.

The eligibility criteria for this program is 60 % marks in matric/o-levels and at least 50 % marks in Fsc/A-levels. The selection of candidates in this program is also dependent on the marks obtained by the pupil in NTS NAT IE, NAT-ICS, NAT-ICOM, or NAT-IGS.

Admission can be also made on the basis of NU-entry test.In this case a weightage is calculated by combing 50 % of the marks of entry test and 50 % marks of the intermediate result. In case intermediate result is not announced the marks obtained in matriculation can be used. However these marks shall be multiplied by a factor of 0.9.

Another possibility is admission on the basis of SAT score. The required SAT score is at least 1500 or 1500 + in SAT examination I. Except for the BBA degree all other graduate level degree programs require a minimum score of 550 in SAT-II (Math Level IIC) examination.
