Course Outline

Program Objectives:

The core objective of this two year degree program is

to provide advanced and specialized training in Accounting and Finance

to polish theoretical understanding and key skills with essential accounting and finance capabilities, including critical analysis, research and advanced numeracy to understand the critical factors behind the success and failure of different organizations.

to develop practical skills, such as the ability to evaluate financial statements, estimate fair values and compare different investments.

to create analytical and decision-making skills in an increasingly complex global environment.

Detailed preparation and training for ACCA qualification.

The syllabus is intended to progressively widen and deepen the knowledge, skills and professional values ACCA syllabus. ACCA has granted exemption of 4 papers (F-1 to F-4) and the syllabus mainly covers the major area of ACCA at the knowledge module level and skills module level and also wraps two papers of professional level. More specifically syllabus completely covers 9 of ACCA out of 14 papers.

Detailed preparation and training for CFA Level I qualification.

The syllabus is designed to progressively broaden and deepen the knowledge, skills and professional values as per the requirement of CFA Level I. The syllabus completely covers all modules of CFA Level I.

Comprehensively covers 11 papers out of 20 papers for CA program.

Comprehensive preparation of 13 papers out of 21 papers for CMA program.

Complete coverage of PIPFA program.

 

Admissions Eligibility Criteria:

The University welcomes applications from students who have successfully completed their 14 years of education. The more specific criteria follow:-

Graduation either in Commerce or Business administration

BSc / BA  either in Math, Stat or Economics

Any other grade 14 degree approved by the HEC.

Merit will be determined according to the following formula:

Intermediate 20%, Bachelor Degree 40%, Test 25 %, Interview 15 %

However, GIFT Graduates with Associate Degree of Accounting & Finance can take few other suggested courses instead of basic courses of the regular track for the completion of their MSc AF degree. Students with professional qualification or those with 16 years of education in relevant area are also eligible to claim exemptions.
