Course Outline
GIFT University features four high technology studios that have been especially designed to aid students enrolled in textile and design courses. The studios include a design studio, drawing studio for screen-printing and concept boards, a swing studio with the latest stitching machines and a weaving studio that instructs students in the basics of weaving. These studios enhance student’s understanding of the textile industry and help them practically test their concept and skills. SHOW PICS

SFADA participated in International Conference for Apparel and Fashion in Sri Lanka in 2015 with its faculty and students. It was a 10 days trip which included the conference on apparel and fashion, fashion show, visit to arts and craft sights, fashion schools and sightseeing areas of the country.

Another way of keeping our students in touch with the latest fashion trends is to organise guest seminars from leading designers such as our MNR, one of our bright alumni. Below are few of the highlights of his contributions
Conducted a workshop on “Contemporary trends in the fashion Industry”.
Contributed as a jury member for varies activities
Supported in providing internships for the current students
Helped the department in job placement of graduating students
Contributed in running Students Entrepreneurial Shop in 2015-16.
Eligibility Criteria:
Minimum Eligibility: Intermediate or equivalent with minimum 45% marks in Matric as well as Intermediate.
Admissions Criteria:
Admission will be based upon the previous academic performance
Merit will be determined according to the following formula:
Matric 20%, Intermediate 50%, Test 30 %
