Impacts of Abbottabad Operation on US-Pak Relationships and Afghan War

It is the phenomenon which is so crucial that it has been analyzed in almost six thousand languages and dialects all over the world within a week after the incident. I would like to elucidate the topic in the light of past history and rather in a distinct way based on some factual ground realities. My main focal points will be the following:

• Roots of Abbottabad Operation; Osama, Terrorism and 9/11 Incident.

In the light of sound analysis, obviously USA has been often fighting for his own interests in third world. Abbottabad operation is also a buckle of the same chain. Now we come to the highlighted points.

In order to elaborate this first point clearly, I go to one of the past but the worst event; I mean Iraq and Kuwait War. I don’t think necessary to go in detail but I would like to clue the most significant aspect. In this war, when Saudia allowed America to land on his state to play his hypocritical role in the war which was unfortunately between two Muslims states. At that time a young student of Civil Engineering at one of the leading universities of Saudia, raised the voice of protest against landing of American on the sacred land of Island of Arab. Actually, he was vindicating the great advice and saying of Muhammad SAW about the Arab. In other words, you can say that he was against the illegal foreign intervention by developed counties in the Muslims countries all over the world. His protest got stronger and stronger with the passage of time. After he graduated with specialization in Tunnel Technology, he put the protest to broader limits. Then he was banished from the homeland with the cancellation of his nationality, but determination of fighting against unlawful exploitation and intervention in the Muslims states are still alive and young. He went to Yemen but could not accommodate himself for longer time there and migrated to Afghanistan finally. He met Taliban leaders who were already fighting against USSR intervention and aggression in the country. He participated in that Jihaad spent his all resources and abilities against the Russian invasion; because of his intelligence and education he got honour and trust of Afghan people. They made him their leader and that young student was known as Osama. Finally in the result of their collective struggles, they beat the USSR and tore into pieces. Certainly, in this all scenario role of USA could not be denyed because at that time USA and USSR were in the state of cold war.

Here a question arises in my mind that Osama bore with a golden spoon in mouth and prestige as inheritance. He brought up with love and comfort. A person in the world choose an adventurous way either for wealth or for prestige, but Osama have both the things by birth, then why did he choose and select the way totally surrounded by hardships and troubles. If we think over it impartially, the answer will be the one as I described right in the beginning.

Now I come to the point. After the USSR downfall, USA perceived Taliban and their designated organization Al-Qaida as a big menace and resistance to fulfill his unlawful interests in the Islamic world. Then USA slogans the terrorism and for aggression and invasion over Afghanistan, the brain of American policy maker wrote a script of 9/11 drama so that they can present an excuse to the world for his proposed plan. In this way he played this mysterious drama in such a way so that world believes that his decision is right and relevant. This mysterious in the sense that they claims that through their satellite security watch they can count the legs of an ant walking anywhere throughout the state then how can it be possible that a few persons hijack their high value aircraft and stroke against WTC? This was another excuse to invade over Afghanistan, as they attributed this all drama to Afghan Taliban and their designated organization Al-Qaida.

There are some necessary needs of America behind this operation. Since, Obama Administration had announced right in the beginning as they took oath, to evacuate all American Army from Afghanistan by July 2011, because American people and congress as well put pressure on Obama in this regard. They consider that there are no significant results of this war even at the cost of trillions of dollars of their taxes and sacrifices of their Army. Secondly, Obama wanted to get the sympathies and vindication of people in next election. Thirdly, he might took this as revenge of Remed Davis incidence because it was a big insult for the super power that his official has been taken into prison for more than one month by third world country and finally compelled USA to surrender before the Islamic Laws. Fourthly, it might be the trial test to check the defensive resistance and security watch of Pakistan security forces, so that he could lay down the possible future invasion over Pakistan. Shortly, the major purpose of this operation is to terminate the Afghan war toward Pakistan and honorable evacuation of American Army from Afghanistan.

Intelligence agencies are the back bone of a country security and defense. Pak ISI and Army as well are considered one of the best of the world. They want to insult and create diffidence about them within the country and out of the country as well, but they have not succeeded in this hypocritical plan. People gave more support and confidence to both of them. ISI and CIA relationships were not so confident in the past. Recently, when Kerry Logger Bill was passed by congress , they strictly put the condition that ISI must be evacuated from Pak Embassy. The main purpose was that ISI is a big hurdle in the way of CIA personal to enter in the country. CIA sent hundred of his spies and detectives in this way. They are frequently observed in illegal activities as like Remend Davis case. ISI was strictly against this action. Pakistan Army often raised voice of protest against Drone Attacks and CIA unlawful activities. Pak Army also refused to operate in rest of Waziristan without solid proofs. In the light of all these circumstances they tried to create such environment to invade openly over Pakistan. Abbottabad Operation might be an excuse to operate USA army openly to show the Pak Army or ISI linkage with terrorists.

Let us suppose that Osama was there in this scenario and have been killed. First thing is that, they say that he has been living since last five years? Then why did they not operate in five years ago? Secondly, if he the person they killed was Osama, why did they not give snapshots to media? Thirdly, why did they not show his dead body to media? It’s all mystery and just a conspiracy against Pakistan, because they can never see Pakistan a modern, developed, prosperous and peaceful state. Another question arises here, that America says that there was no resistance from his side. Then why did they not arrest him? If they say that they had resistance form his side and told that he has only one guard at that time, then be cursed on such commandos who were hundreds in number but could not trapped a single gunman. Therefore, obviously international laws and principles have been violated by USA.
Again there is an element uncertainty and mystery that if Pak Intelligence and security forces were not aware of the incidence, it is so regretful and if they knew then why they didn’t respond effectively and in time?

Pakistan is titled as Non-NATO frontline partner on war on terror. He sacrificed his Army soldiers and economy as well. But unfortunately could not get the reward as it deserved even they don’t trust in Pakistan efforts in this regard. It is nothing but our policy failure. Such response from America surely leads toward distrust and doubt between both the states, which will hurt all the struggles against terror badly. America will have to respect sovereignty, freedom and resources of the Muslims. He has to adopt way of trade and commerce to utilize the resources rather than unlawful invasion and adventurous aggressions. Otherwise, this resistance from the Islamic world would be natural and could not consider as terrorism.

After the May 2, incident Pak-US relationships reversed at 180 degree. President of Pakistan visited Russia and PM just going to leave for china. In this way, USA thought that it might be dangerous and hazardous for him, if Pakistan shifts his direction towards Russia. So he is trying to put the tense situation back on track. This is time when iron is red hot and we must take advantage of this opportunity to put our agenda which reflects our core interests and aims. It is time when America with its back to wall must have to accept. Secondly, Pak government should broader the limits of its relationships with neighbors including Russia. We must be aware of and vigilant that safe and secure Afghanistan is in our own interest, and USA can never see Pak as stronger and developed. He always try to keep it unstable and want to get his strengthened influence in the region to strengthen India so that he can beat rising global economy of China. Therefore, we should always keep our national interests on top priority.

I end this analysis and point of view with the golden words of Liaqat Ali Khan’s speech at UNO that:

"We are free. It is our foremost duty to maintain our freedom; if we fail to do so then we will spoil the fair name of freedom and free people."
