In the educational institutes, workplace, or even in every single aspect of life the concept of meritocracy should be applied. The general definition of meritocracy is to hire professionals based on their efforts, abilities, and performances rather than some references or associations. In Pakistan, the merit-based system wasn’t so prominent before the establishment of some recruitment agencies or organizations. These organizations, because of their unique strategies and ideas, have made possible admissions in higher educational institutes and employment in the government and non-government organizations only on the merit base. Out of these organizations National testing Services, NTS is the one.

NTS was organized in 2002 to introduce an international level testing and assessment system in Pakistan. The testing service is working to regulate the admission and recruitment process in several government sectors and private sectors educational institutes and workplaces respectively. The organization does not only limited to local or national level testing or assessment systems but it also conducts tests for international admission and recruitment processes.

How NTS Has Created A Wonderful Meritocratic System

Through the follwogin strategies applied by NTS, the organization has created a wonderful system for meritocracy in Pakistan:

 

Transparency in Testing System

We see transparency in the testing system. No objection and corruption have been seen in the testing system by NTS. Candidates are registered through a proper channel and relevant tests are designed for particular positions. Moreover, tests are conducted in a completely satisfying environment. 

International Standard Testing System

The testing system is based on the international standard that has been adopted by the developed countries. This thing helps candidates to know the international standard of the testing system and they can also appear easily for other international level tests and assessment trials.

Knowledge And Skill Measurement

This testing service measures the knowledge and skill of the candidates exceptionally. Through the expert staff and teachers, the tests are designed and conducted.   

Score Reporting and Transparent Result System

Where the exams are prepared and conducted in a transparent and satisfying environment, at the same time, NTS arranges and declares the score reports and results with 100% perfection. This act of NTS does not only select deserving candidates but also enhances the values of the meritocratic concept in Pakistan.

Teachers’ Training And Professional Development

To perform all the actions safely and accurately, the NTS services hire professional staff. However, in order to bring potential success, NTS offers proper teachers training and professional development or environment that are the key factors to regulate any of the organization or service.

Many admission and job processes are completed each year by NTS. These admission and recruitment processes are helpful to enhance the merit system and its values in Pakistan. If such organizations will be strong then the meritocratic system will more get grown in Pakistan which is a good initiative towards the country's development.
