STIPENDIUM HUNGARICUM SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME 2026-2027

The Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan invites applications from Pakistani/AJ&K nationals for the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme (2026-27). The scholarship is launched by the Hungarian Government for the following study levels:

• Bachelor's

• One-Tier Master’s

• Master’s

• PhD

The program is managed by HEC in collaboration with Tempus Public Foundation, Hungary.

Application Requirements

1. Read instructions carefully:

   • Visit the HEC webpage above and read all instructions/FAQs before applying.

2. Mandatory online applications:

   • Applications must be submitted on both Hungarian and HEC portals separately.

   • Failure to apply on both portals will lead to rejection.

   • Hard copies are not required at this stage, but applicants should keep records and printed copies of both submissions.

3. Apply online at Hungarian portal:

   • https://stipendiumhungaricum.hu/apply/

4. Apply online at HEC scholarship portal:

   • https://scholarship.hec.gov.pk/

   • Register and complete your profile, then select “Hungarian Scholarship Program”.

   • Keep a copy of submitted application form.

5. Online application only:

   • Applications submitted outside the online portal will not be entertained.

   • HEC’s recommendation is final and binding.

6. Submitted applications:

   • Only applications marked SUBMITTED will be considered for nomination.

   • It is the applicant’s responsibility to submit before the deadline.

   • Submitted forms cannot be edited.

7. Selection not guaranteed:

   • Meeting eligibility and submitting an application does not guarantee selection.

8. Queries and support:

   • Applicants can submit queries via HEC helpline or online help portal.

9. HEC approved study fields:

10. Deadline for submission:

    • January 15, 2026 (16:00 hrs Pakistan Standard Time)

HEC Aptitude Test

• Conducted by Education Testing Council (ETC), Pakistan.

• Tests for:

  • MS/MPhil and PhD: HEC Aptitude Test (HAT)

  • Undergraduate Studies: USAT

• Tentative schedule: January – February 2026

Important Note

Applicants for professional degrees (Medical, Engineering, Nursing, Architecture, Law, Veterinary Medicine, Technology, etc.) must confirm accreditation from the respective councils:

• PMDC – Pakistan Medical & Dental Council

• PEC – Pakistan Engineering Council

• PNC – Pakistan Nursing Council

• PCATP – Pakistan Council for Architects & Town Planners

• PBC – Pakistan Bar Council

• PVMC – Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council

• PCP – Pakistan Pharmacy Council
