(Sindh Government Healthcare Research Centers)
The Dr. Panjwani Center for Molecular Medicine and Drug Research (PCMD) announces a special Internship Program for recent medical and dental graduates and students.
Objective of the Program:
To provide an opportunity to be involved in research activities at the molecular and cellular levels.
To attain preliminary levels of proficiency in conducting clinically relevant research.
To formulate research questions, apply appropriate research methods, and critically interpret findings.
It is expected that this short exposure to original research in a world-class institution will generate research interest in medical graduates.
The ICCBS is among the top academic research establishments of the developing world with two constituent centers:
H.E.J. Research Institute of Chemistry
Dr. Panjwani Center for Molecular Medicine and Drug Research
As a WHO collaborating and UNESCO affiliated center, ICCBS has been awarded the Islamic Development Bank Prize for the best scientific research institution in the Islamic world in 2004 and 2010.
PCMD, established in 2004, is engaged in training young scholars in the emerging fields of molecular medicine and drug research.
The center has achieved a number of milestones and remains at the pinnacle of excellence. The research activities at PCMD are directed at understanding diseases, especially those prevalent in Pakistan, with the aim of finding improved and novel ways of their diagnosis, treatment, and prevention.
