ABOUT THE FACULTY

The Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Karachi, has the honour of being the First Faculty of Pharmacy in Pakistan. It caters to the needs of all Professional Services of Pharmacy including Hospitals and Pharmaceutical Industries. The Faculty is equipped with State-of-the-Art Laboratories and Modern Technology, imparting Quality Education and Training.

ELIGIBILITY

  • Minimum 60% Marks in Intermediate HSC (Pre-Medical) or Equivalent Examination

  • (Grace/Condonation Marks or Grade raised will NOT be considered)

  • Applicants seeking admission on the basis of Certificates other than those awarded by Public Sector Boards of Pakistan must submit the Equivalence Certificate issued by the Inter Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC) at least Three (3) Days before the Announcement of the Admission List.

  • Admissions to Doctor of Pharmacy will be granted on the basis of Pre-requisite (Intermediate or Equivalent) examination after passing the Entrance Test with a minimum of 50% Marks.

  • Candidates awaiting their Pre-requisite Results can also apply at their own risk. However, they have to submit their results at least 3 days prior to the date of announcement of the admission list.

SELF-FINANCED / DONOR AND RESERVED SEATS

All those candidates applying for admission on Self-Financed/Donor and Reserved Seats in Doctor of Pharmacy (Morning & Evening) are required to:

  1. Submit Doctor of Pharmacy Admission Form

  2. Qualify the Entrance Test

Otherwise they will not be considered eligible for Admission.

HOW TO APPLY

Candidates can fill in and submit the Admission Form (with Scanned Copies of the required Documents) through the Online Admission Portal of the University:

ADMISSION FORM PROCESSING FEE

  • Rs. 5,000/- must be paid through the prescribed payment method using the Kuickpay ID generated through the Admission Portal, before the final submission of the Admission Form.

  • If an applicant has already submitted one Admission Form, the processing fee for submitting a second admission form for another programme will be Rs. 3,000/-.

Admissions in the above Programmes will be granted on the basis of the Pre-requisite Examination after qualifying the Entrance Test with a minimum of 50% Marks, provided that the applicants meet the Eligibility Criteria of the relevant Department/Programme.

  • Candidates awaiting their Pre-requisite Results can also apply at their own risk. However, they have to submit their results at least 3 days prior to the date of announcement of the admission list.
