1. Overview

The University of Health Sciences (UHS) Lahore invites applications from eligible candidates for admission into the following on-campus postgraduate programs for the Fall 2026 session. Admissions are strictly merit-based.

4. How to Apply (Step-by-Step)

  1. Visit the UHS Online Admission Portal for Postgraduate Programs at www.uhs.edu.pk.

  2. Create an account by entering your full name, father's/guardian's name, email, mobile number, and password.

  3. Select your desired program (PhD / M.Phil / MSN and MHPE / MPH), then choose the relevant discipline/subject. A candidate may register for both PhD/M.Phil/MSN and MHPE/MPH.

  4. Fill in personal details: name, domicile, contact info, address, nationality, gender, date of birth.

  5. Enter academic qualifications with marks, year of passing, and awarding university.

  6. Upload scanned copies of all required documents (max 500 KB each).

  7. Read and acknowledge the Undertaking before submission.

  8. Submit the application online. A confirmation email will be sent — download and print both the application and bank challan.

  9. Generate a fee challan for the non-refundable, non-transferable application processing fee of Rs. 7,000/- and deposit it at Bank of Punjab (BOP) or National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) through branch banking or via the 1B Invoice facility only. The 1B top-up option must not be used. Upload the paid challan/receipt on the same portal within the stipulated time.

6. Eligibility Criteria

 
Program Duration Qualification Required
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) 3-Year 1. 18 years of education with: MBBS/BDS OR BS in relevant field/Pharm-D (for specific subjects as per M.Phil qualifications below), AND M.Phil/Master/FCPS or equivalent qualification in relevant subject recognized by HEC/Concerned Federal Regulatory Authority.
2. Minimum CGPA 3.0 (out of 4.0) in semester system or First Division in annual system in the most recent relevant degree (Pakistani or foreign university).
3. Percentile score of 60% in GRE Subject (in subjects where the test is available in the country) OR minimum 60% score in the Admission Test conducted by the University (at par with GRE Subject Test).
Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) 2-Year MBBS (for all disciplines excluding Oral Biology, Oral Pathology) OR BDS (for M.Phil Oral Biology, Oral Pathology, Pharmacology, Immunology, Microbiology, Forensic Sciences and Behavioral Sciences) OR BS in Genetics/Molecular Biology/Biotechnology/Biomedical Sciences (for M.Phil Human Genetics & Molecular Biology) OR BS Microbiology/Virology/Biotechnology/Biomedical Sciences/Genetics/Molecular Biology (for M.Phil Immunology) OR BS Microbiology/Virology and Immunology, DVM, Pharm-D (for M.Phil Microbiology) OR BS in Forensic Sciences/Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT)/Biomedical Sciences/Genetics, and Pharm-D (for M.Phil Forensic Sciences) OR BS in Biochemistry (for M.Phil Biochemistry).
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) 2-Year Four (04) years Generic BSc Nursing OR two (02) years post-RN Nursing OR any other degree recognized by the Pakistan Nursing Council as equivalent to the aforementioned degrees.
Master in Health Professions Education (MHPE) 2-Year MBBS/BDS/BSN/Pharm-D/DPT/BS(AHS)
Master in Public Health (MPH) 2-Year MBBS/BDS/BSN/Pharm-D/BS(Public Health)/DPT/BS(AHS)

7. Important Instructions

  1. Applications must be submitted only through the online portal. Incomplete, improperly submitted, or unpaid applications will be rejected.

  2. No hard copy is required, but the paid challan/bank receipt must be uploaded before the deadline.

  3. No changes can be made after final submission.

  4. Any false or forged information will lead to immediate cancellation of candidature/admission. Ph.D. applicants must upload a one-page Statement of Purpose with their documents.

  5. Minimum 55% marks in the Admission Test.

  6. Preference will be given to candidates having MBBS/BDS degree.

  7. Test results, interview schedules, and merit lists will be available on the UHS website.

  8. Admission will be strictly merit-based.

  9. In-service applicants must submit an NOC; those applying on deputation must apply through the proper channel.

  10. Applicants with foreign qualifications must provide an equivalence certificate from HEC, PMDC, PNC, or AHPC, as applicable.
