GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS / ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Accredited undergraduate degree in relevant discipline from an HEC recognized University.
The applicant must have earned at least 16 years B.Sc. / B.E. / BS degree, or equivalent, with a CGPA of 2.0 out of a maximum of 4.0 under semester system and have scored at least 50% in test conducted by the university.
The conversion formula given in the HEC Policy Guideline for implementation of uniform semester system in HECs of Pakistan to determine CGPA equivalent to marks percentage obtained in 16 years undergraduate degree in annual system.
In case, transcript shows percentage as well as CGPA, CGPA would be considered for eligibility, CGPAs on a scale other than 4.0 would be translated accordingly.

Filing the application online and for viewing eligibility requirements of each program, visit the admission portal: https://admission.uet.edu.pk
Prospectus is available on the admission portal.
Separate applications are required for applying in multiple programs, whether being offered in morning (M), evening (E) or on weekends (W), in each discipline. For further details see the prospectus.
The admission process will start from Monday, July 13, 2026. The applicants need to obtain the challan of Rs. 3,100/- from admission portal.
The challan can be paid in two ways: (a) through HBL online banking if you are an HBL account holder, or (b) through HBL KONNECT if you are not an HBL account holder.
Use the paid challan, which is valid until Thursday, August 13, 2026, to login admission portal and complete your online application. Applicants need to scan and upload relevant documents along with their personal and academic information. For details visit the admission portal.

A Test (80%) will be related to your relevant subject and remaining 20% will be general, prepared by the concerned department, will be conducted for all disciplines at Main Campus (except Textile Engineering, FSD and MS Innovation and Entrepreneurship-NWL) from Monday, August 17, 2026, to Wednesday, August 19, 2026. The admit card for the test will be issued by the respective department on receiving the admission application.
Interview of candidates, scoring at least 50% aggregate in the test, will be held from Thursday, August 20, 2026, to Saturday, August 22, 2026, in respective departments. The department shall notify and inform the students regarding interview schedule for relevant programs.
Merit Aggregate Formula for M.Sc. / M.Phil. / Master Programs are: (1) 16 years weightage: 40%; (2) Test weightage: 40%; (3) Interview weightage: 20%.
Admission offers will start from Friday, August 28, 2026. By evening, while classes will commence from Monday, September 07, 2026.
A 30 credit hours MBA is offered for those applicants who have an undergraduate degree in business, while a 60 credit hours MBA is offered for others. For details kindly visit uet-ims.edu.pk.
Only those programs will be offered in Evening and on Weekends in which enrolment is at least five and ten, respectively.
Classes will be conducted on the weekends from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Scholarships

25% discount, in tuition fee for alumni of UET, Lahore.
Quaid-e-Azam Scholarship (Punjab) Limited, which provides 1180 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant in Bhikki Sheikhupura, is offering a limited number of fully-funded scholarships, along with fiscal incentives, subject to fulfillment of certain terms and conditions, to Electrical and Mechanical Engineering applicants. For details, kindly contact the relevant Department.
For students admitted in CEWRE tuition waiver up to 80% for M.Sc., 75% for Ph.D., 40% of M.Sc. and 10% Gender Support is available. T&C applies.
