COMBINED ENTRANCE TEST 2026 (SECOND & FINAL)

For Admission in B.Sc. Engineering, Computing, and Other Disciplines in Public/Private Sector Engineering Institutions of the Punjab

Important Policy Information:

  • As mandated by the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), this entrance test is compulsory for admission to undergraduate engineering programs.

  • This is the second and final entrance test for the year 2026.

  • Best Score Counts: The highest score achieved between ECAT 1 and ECAT 2 will be utilized to determine merit for Fall 2026 admissions.

  • There is no passing threshold and no negative marking in ECAT.


Important Dates & Timeline 2026

  • Last Date to Apply Online (Token & Data Entry): Tuesday, June 09, 2026

  • Print Admit Cards From: Wednesday, June 10, 2026 (Evening)

  • Orientation Session: Tuesday, June 16, 2026

  • Entrance Test Dates: Wednesday, June 17, 2026, to Sunday, June 21, 2026

  • Official Result Declaration: Tuesday, June 23, 2026 (Evening)


Test Format & Subject Combinations

The test is of Intermediate level and spans a total duration of 100 minutes.

  • Total Questions: 100 questions (10 English questions + 90 core subject questions split equally among the remaining three subjects).

  • Marking Scheme: Each correct answer is worth 4 points. No negative marking.

Permitted Subject Combinations:

  1. Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English

  2. Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, and English

  3. Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, and English

  4. Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and English (Pre-Medical)

  5. Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, and English

DAE Candidates Note: Candidates holding a Diploma of Associate Engineer (DAE) can only opt for Combination 1 (Chemistry) or Combination 2 (Computer Science).


Registration & Fee Payment Process

  1. Generate Challan: Visit the ECAT Portal via admission.uet.edu.pk and generate an Application Processing Fee Challan of Rs. 3,000/-.

  2. Payment Methods:

    • HBL: Via HBL Online Banking (for account holders) or HBL KONNECT (for non-account holders).

    • UBL: Via any physical UBL Branch, the UBL Mobile App (for account holders), or UBL Omni (for non-account holders).

  3. Admit Card: After paying, fill out the application and carefully select your test center. Download and print the generated admit card on June 10, 2026.

Note: Computer and printer facilities are available at these centers during working days (10:00 AM to 3:00 PM) to help candidates print applications or admit cards.


Mandatory Requirements & Rules

  • Mandatory Photo-ID: Candidates must present one of the following valid photo identity documents at the test center or face expulsion:

    1. Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC / NICOP)

    2. NADRA Juvenile Card

    3. Original Matric / Intermediate Certificate with photograph

    4. Computerized Domicile bearing a photograph

    5. Valid Passport

    6. Cambridge Statement of Entry (for A-Level students)

    7. NADRA Computerized Form-B displaying a photograph

  • Missed Slots: Missing the allocated center/time slot automatically disqualifies the candidate. Re-taking the test is not permitted.

  • No Re-Checking: The testing mechanism is fully automated; no re-checking services are offered.

  • Refunds: Token/Challan payments are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable.
