ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

MS Programs

  • 16 years education or BS (min 130 credit hrs) / Master's degree.

  • Minimum CGPA 2.50/4.00 (Semester system) or 50% marks (Annual system).

  • Valid GAT/GRE/HAT/UoB Subject test with at least 50% score.

PhD Programs

  • 30 credit hrs MS/MPhil essential having 6 credit hrs research in relevant field.

  • Minimum CGPA 3.00/4.00 (Semester system) or 60% marks (Annual system).

  • Valid GAT/GRE/HAT/UoB Subject test with at least 60% score.

Additional Requirements

  • Foreign degrees require HEC Equivalence Certificate.

  • Government servants must provide Departmental NOC and/or Study Leave.

HOW TO APPLY

1. Online Registration

Register and apply online via UoB GSO admission portal:

2. Processing Fee Payment

Rs. 4,000/- (Non-refundable) payable through Bank Challan at HBL – University Branch (Account No. 08730001324203).

3. Document Submission

Submit the following to the Graduate Studies Office (GSO), Room No. 3, 1st Floor, Administration Block, University of Balochistan, Quetta during office hours:

  • Printed online form

  • Fee receipt

  • 2 sets of attested copies of educational documents

  • 4 recent passport photographs

  • All certificates (Matric, Inter, Bachelor, Master/MS)

  • DMCs & Degrees

  • Domicile (applicant/father)

  • CNIC

  • 04 passport photographs

  • Bank receipt

PhD Statement of Purpose (SOP)

PhD applicants must submit an SOP with:

  • Research proposal title

  • Literature review

  • Objectives

  • Hypothesis

  • Methodology

  • Significance & impact

Class Size & Migration

  • Minimum class size is 08 students for MS and 05 students for PhD.

  • Original Migration Certificate is required at admission.

Ineligibility & Announcements

  • Result-awaiting students cannot apply.

  • Candidates must keep visiting official UoB / GSO websites for ongoing updates.
